Working closely with your team, helping each other and moving forward together. Working from the strength of the team towards common goals and vision. Motivating and inspiring each other, each from his own role. These things are probably very recognizable when you are physically together with your team. After all, a large part of your job satisfaction comes from the team you work with. And this is certainly true at Treams as well. However, due to the Corona virus, we cannot see each other for a while now. After several weeks of working at home and under the influence of the developments in the world, our team spirit took a hit. How did we deal with this? And what did we do to strengthen the team spirit again?
There is more distance, literally and figuratively. We invest a lot to stay connected with each other; daily we check in and out as a whole team, and even our team meetings that we normally organize physically (see, for example, the wrap-up ) continue in online version. By being constantly in touch with each other, we know what everyone is working on. We have new agreements on priorities and are working together on our goals. But because all communication takes place via video calls, you do miss some depth of interaction. Especially the vibe and the energy that is released when we work together, the actual physical connection. In addition, uncertainty also plays a role. The world outside is changing, priorities are shifting and nobody really knows what the future will bring. Everyone deals with that differently. But how can you then strengthen the team spirit and how do you manage to rekindle it?
Our solution = a new tool!
From our drive to help customers, develop something that really matters and offer support for some current struggles of organizations; we started a new initiative. Something we came up with together, something we all work on together and that contributes to something bigger. And then also something we love doing most of all; building supportive HR software. This created new thinking and work processes, new focus, and released the positive energy we were floating on. Something positive in an uncertain time made us feel one again. And the best part is; you got something out of it too.
After all, in times of the coronavirus, it is more important than ever to keep in touch with your employees. Because we notice in practice that many organizations do not know how their employees are really doing at the moment, we developed our Remote Growth tool. This tool helps you to actively listen to your employees remotely to increase happiness and engagement. Every week, employees are given a number of simple questions to answer within two minutes. Using visual reports, you gain insight into how your employees are feeling. This allows you to take action quickly. Would you like to take advantage of this tool? You can do so here!
